Colors and Mutations

The most commonly asked question in appearance is what color is mine? And what the heck is a mutation.

A mutation is the actual genetic change from the wild agouti coat color of standard gray - it is the genes which code for and result in the chin's coat color. The genetic makeup of the chin is referred to as genotype, and for every gene/trait in that chin's genetic makeup, it received one allele from its dam and one from the sire. The physical appearance or COLOR of the chin is referred to as phenotype and is determined by the chin's genotype. 2
